Meet the team - Viv Trask-Hall

Head of Product & Innovation

Viv joined Thrive in 2015, bringing a wealth of experience in education, leadership, and child development. Her career has seen her teach across all age ranges, often in schools facing challenging circumstances, with a particular focus on early years and SEND. She has held leadership roles as SENDCo, headteacher, executive headteacher, and school improvement partner, and has been instrumental in establishing a co-operative trust and a multi-academy trust.

Viv is deeply committed to supporting children and young people, both in her professional work and personal life. She is a proud foster carer, providing a therapeutic placement for young people and leading a Mockingbird Hub team that supports a network of foster families caring for babies, children, adolescents, and young adults. Her passion lies in helping children develop robust social and emotional skills to navigate life’s challenges and in empowering professionals to create environments where every child can truly thrive.

Outside of work, Viv is a trained professional celebrant, a keen cook with a full outdoor kitchen setup, and a gadget lover. She’s also a passionate Barnsley FC fan—Thrive skills have often helped her manage the emotional ups and downs of being a football supporter. Recently, she’s been learning latte art with her fancy new coffee machine, although, so far, her creations look more like cloud patterns than precise shapes!
